Abbotsford residents will have their chance today to say Yes or No to the city's three proposed capital projects, known collectively as Plan A.
Voters can go to any one of the 16 polling stations at various schools around the city.
The polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and voters are advised to bring two pieces of identification.
Residents can vote on each of the projects separately. These are: a $10-million museum and arts centre, to be situated at city hall; a $20-million expansion to the facilities at the Abbotsford Recreation Centre; and a $55-million spectator arena, to be built just west of the University College of the Fraser Valley.
As polls close, the results will be displayed on a screen in council chambers at City Hall, which will be open to the public.
The final results will be announced by chief elections officer Bill Flitton after 8 p.m.
The official results will be announced at the regular public council meeting on Monday. Abbotsford has about 76,274 eligible voters. Flitton said the turn-out at the advance poll on Wednesday was "normal."
